Bro, stop being so butthurt. It happened. There are videos of three different guys going at Clowney in multiple different games. It's over.

Look, I would have loved to see the Texans take Manziel too. I think it would have been the better choice. But Clowney was underrated this year, and he'll end up doing well in Houston.

I'm not butthurt. I'm not a texans fan. Never have been.

But please, show me these videos. I would be happy to look at them and see this wonderful new blocking scheme that OCs are installing in order to get their qb killed. Sounds cutting edge.

Edit: if you are referring to the videos not that website, you would be wrong. He was triple covered a grand total of 0 times. And a vast majority of the double teams are in fact running back protect. His role is inside to out. He is not assigned to Clowney.

Clowney was the right pick for now - maybe in the future it won't be but there's no reason for the Texans to have taken Manziel at #1 overall if he dropped all the way to #22. That would have been way over drafting.

Not a hard concept to grasp, you guys. Take off the maroon colored sunglasses.

I can't wait to see Johnny break his size 13 shoes off in their ass and choke them out with his 9.5" hands on Nov 16th.

"Over drafting"? How old are you?

Emmitt Smith was drafted #17. Name the RB drafted before him.

That's right, you can't. No one remembers that guy.

I really don't understand all the butthurt either. Texans probably made the right pick and who knows how things will work out for Johnny - time will tell. I know I'll be watching and pulling for him.

Congratulations Johnny and good luck in Cleveland - I for one am pulling for ya.

I don't care what all the smart people on ESPN say. I watched several S. Carolina games with my own eyes. Clowney played like crap the entire 2013 season. Maybe he was sand-bagging to save his body. That would be the only legitimate excuse I can think of. His 2012 play was good but not good enough to draft him #1.

NFL GM's seem more concerned about physical attributes than game play.

"Clowney is terrible look his stats went down"

JFF is still great eventhough the best team we beat last year was
Duke

JFF gets a lot of love for what he did 2 seasons ago but hey this texags I would not expect consistent logic

Yeah, he totally lost those high scoring shootouts because he couldn't run the defense. Wait wut?

Who's to say he won't sandbag to save his body in the NFL?

Not sure what your point is buddy. If you can get Johnny at #22 why would you take him #1 overall? That is bad draft management. Hell the Texans could have won the draft by taking Clowney then trading back in and getting Johnny still. They didn't and I think that's dumb but for them to take JFF at #1 would have been silly when they could have just waited 21 other picks and gotten 2 players.

Gil Brandt on NFL radio last night before the draft. Do you know how many times Clowney was on the field in pass situations this past year? Answer 423. Sacks 3. Other commentator, but the double teams yada yada. Brandt, watch the Georgia game he wasn't double teamed. Some other commentator - Clemson didn't double him either.

wasn't drafting Clowney taking the best player rather than what they needed?

Drafting a guy who was out of shape and had 3 sacks in over 420 passing play attempts and was blasted by his coach for not playing in games with bruised ribs is "taking the best player"?

And taking the best QB in CFB history wasn't?

I'm not disagreeing that you take a player only as high as you have to. But waiting on a player is risky, nevertheless.

I'm saying that drafting is as much an art as a science. I took from your post that you believe it to be more of a formula.

Clowney is a proven quitter. Bust pick!
