Donated. I have to say this breaks my heart. My wife and I welcomed our son into this world 2 months ago and I cannot imagine what this family is going through. It also makes me so proud to be an Aggie. Truly moving.

Does anyone know if it will allow more than the $60K? I have several Ag friends traveling who want to donate and have not had the ability to yet.

I was wondering this too but I'm 99% sure you can still donate... Not sure why the site would have a reason to cut it off

The goal has been reset to insure everyone who wants to donate had the opportunity to do so.

I do not know any of you, but I love you all. This is overwhelming. Gus, Kourtney, Cooper and Otto are like my family. The good that everyone has done so far is beyond description. I'm always proud to be an Aggie, but this brings my wife and I to tears every time we check the site. Gig 'em and God bless.

I'm assuming 100% of this is going to Otto's family, right?
As a father with two young daughters, I can't imagine what's going through the minds and hearts of Otto's parents. T&Ps all around.

The donation site will cut a check directly to them. There is a percentage that goes to the site but they are upfront about how much it is when you make a donation.

This thread has been near the top all day long. I'm worried that a sticky right now might make people miss it because most people skip past those threads.

Are there tax implications for the family for these donations?

My understanding is no because they are considered individual gifts. If someone were to give over the allowable individual amount there would be but that amount is like 13k.
The counter says 121 days left. Will they be getting the money sooner than that?
