Agree with OP. if your kids aren't at least 6 they shouldn't be at the game. If they won't remember it what's the point?

People bring toddlers to games because they are selfish.

I guess you shouldn't do any activities with your children before the age of six because they won't remember it anyway.

Mostly agree with the op, but I will say that the parents with kids around me seemed to be making sure the kids got plenty of water, hats, sunscreen and shade breaks. I really appreciated that a&m provided water bottle filling stations and the indoor track facility for ac. I was very glad I didn't have my 3 year old with me. We probably would have left at halftime. I think I'll wait a couple more years for his first game.

Also restaurants. If you don't mind not bringing them there as well, that'd be great.

I took my two kids. 4 and 6. We took a 1 hr shade break, had plenty of water, sunscreen, visors and alternative entertainment. They had a blast and have told everyone they saw about it. If you don't like seeing or hearing kids at the game - pony up and buy seats (armchair, club, or suites) where it won't affect you. They're my four seats and I'll do with them what I please. Just because some people show up unprepared or haven't conditioned their kids over the summer doesn't mean kids in general shouldn't come to Kyle.

Selfish Post by the OP who either doesn't have kids or is too selfish to do whatever it takes to spend time with them.

Wife and I made a game time decision (literally) to keep the 1 and 3 yr old in the RV with the AC. It was a nice 78 degrees while they slept during the game. Mom and dad watched outside at the tailgate.

A 4.5 year old can enjoy the experience if it's not too hot (80's). You have to leave at halftime cause they get tired of sitting still, but they have a blast seeing the stadium and watching the band.

SickAG,

Notice how I kept referencing the ages 1-3? Yeah, your kids are older than that. Enjoy your #FAIL sticker.

Why do so many people feel entitled to force their parenting views on others? Parents should be able to responsibly take their kids to any establishment or venue allowing children. If the establishment or venue makes a business decision to not allow families with children of a certain age, no problem. Parents take their business elsewhere or make other arrangements. If you think a parent is irresponsibly endangering a child you should report it at the time for someone more qualified to deal with.

Simple question, OP. Do you not have kids or not?

For your argument's sake - we started taking both of them when they were a year old. It still doesn't hold water for you, Internet Tough Guy.

I hate to post like this, but when others feel the need to give parenting advice - it strikes a chord with me. Don't give me your opinion on child-rearing - ESPECIALLY on a Football Board.

Agree. Some of you should just mind your own business. They don't care about you so why should you care about them?

Feel free to let your 4 year old play tball during July, but don't dare take him to a game. The human race isn't designed to survive in the sun!!! Think of the children!!!!!

I saw more older and Female students than kids at the medical stations. So by your logic they shouldn't go to the game either?

Spring game is made for the 1-3 yr old set, they used to allow strollers in the stadium for it

I'm in the camp that people can do whatever they want. If they want to bring their kids, great.

That being said, I'd say more than 50% of the time it looks like the parents regret taking them. At least the dads do. Half of the time is spent attending to their pissed off kid who is playing angry birds the entire time anyway and could care less about the game.

Was at the TCU game last night and there was a 3 year old playing on a phone in a seat and the proceeded to get his leg caught in the seat and screamed like he was being murdered during a pivotal point in the game. At which point they had to leave. The kid was okay, thank god, but you could tell he was bored out of his mind.

Like I said, people are free to do want. I can understand why people want to take their kids and how memorable it is.

I have three year old that I'll probably take to the game this Saturday. Took him to the LSU game last year as a two year old (maybe he had just turned three; I dont remember if it was brfore or after his birthday). he had a blast. Still talks about riding the bus. Stayed the whole game. Not a problem. Very glad I did it.

How about everyone mind their own business? Is the OP Hillary Clinton? It takes a village?

Kids don't belong to society. Raise your own kids and stfu.

FYI I don't have kids. So I wasn't "one of the condemned parents". But, busy bodies annoy me.

I wouldn't bring my 2 yo to a home game in August, but each kid is unique and every parent is different. Some of you need a WAHHHHmbulance.

Didnt read. I agree OP. Quit living thru your infants and do the right thing. If you don't know the right thing call Dr. Phil

Agree with OP 100%, plus infants are more susceptible to hearing damage from loud noise. Kyle Field gets very loud. Get a babysitter !!!

We're coming down for the Auburn game and thought about bringing our baby just because I feel like Kyle Field will somehow rub off on her and make her awesome, but then I thought about how much I hate having to listen to crying kids when I'm at a movie/football game/concert or whatever, so she and mom are watching from the hotel. You're welcome.

So true. I had a newborn a couple of rows behind me. I was struggling with the sun so I dread to think how he/she was dealing with it.

The real problem is making the kids stand for four quarters when they aren't even students yet.
agshark92
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Also agree with OP. you can raise your kids how you want unless you are risking their health or messing with everyone else's ability to enjoy the game. Taking an infant to a football game when it is 100 out does both.
