If your child is a newborn or even a toddler, don't bring him or her to the game.
When it is September and it is 100 freaking degrees outside, a football game is not an appropriate place for them to be.
You wouldn't leave your kid outside playing in 100+ degree heat for 3 hours, so why are you bringing them to a game?
It was so pathetic seeing 1, 2, and 3 yr olds being moved into the stands with their parents. The vast majority of them didn't even come prepared for the game, i.e. they didn't have hats or any type of head covering or sunscreen for their kids.
If you want to watch an Aggie football game, bite the bullet, hire a babysitter, and leave the kid at home. I don't care how precious a moment you think it will be for them to attend their first Aggie football game, they aren't going to remember it at 1-3 years of age.
If you can't afford a babysitter, stay at home. Part of being a parent is sacrificing, and selfishly forcing your kid to attend a game in the Texas heat in September just because you can't bear the thought of missing a game is pathetic. Putting your own needs over the health of your kid makes you a bad parent and an even worse human being.
Forcing a kid to stay outside in that type of heat for that prolonged period of time is borderline child abuse.
Eventually, they're going to be miserable and become grumpy, and you're going to be pissed at them for grousing, when you're the one who made the poor decision.
Just don't do it.
Be a good parent, and leave the little ones at home.
