Could be something up there you can't see. I do this kind of thing and we come up with a lot of WTF solutions for routing that don't make sense to the casual observer until you look at the entire building.

I like the direction this thread has headed.

I'm going to take a stab and assume that these are the downspouts for the internal gutters at the lower edge of the canopy. If you look at the elevation of the edge toward the fields vs the edge toward the road, you will see that there is probably not enough fall to get these pipes to enter the vertical support while inside the canopy. It's too bad that they couldn't get them at least behind the columns looking from the outside.

I would assume that they used BIM to build this structure. If they caught it on that, they probably just decided it was something they could live with. Clearly, they should have consulted Texags first.

I checked with my BMA boss. They consulted him about it and in the end the decision was made to use the savings from rerouting the pipes to add mountain breeze scent to the lazy river in his founders suite.

Figured he won't be able to see it from his plane flying in and after he parks in lot A, he can't tip his head that steep to ever see it anyway.

just mentioned the drainage system is a $1 million system and state of the art. Maybe make it $1,000,020 to buy a couple cans of spray paint or a little more and do it right by creating a metal cover.

It went north to south long ways, but faced west. Downtown Bryan streets are pretty much true to direction, the rest of the town is tilted..
