Those "dead pixels" are cables from the construction workers. You can see them hanging down as you drive by. I wouldn't worry about it.

Why are they using a tarp for covering the scoreboard? I was really expecting that to be some type of siding material. Is that to promote additional airflow/cooling inside the board?

SERIOUSLY!?! how hard would it have been to put a sold brick panel in there to match the other side?! instead they put the vent panel in there! Come on man! You put one solid column of brick on the other side, and then a column of vent....just do the same on the other side!!! But NOOO you put a column of brick panel, and ONE vent... UGH!

If I may offer some advice to the group: don't waste your time worrying or complaining about things that aren't complete. You may not like it, and you may think it looks bad, but more times than not it's because THEY ARE NOT DONE. Not everything looks great when it's first installed, especially half installed.

We have paid a lot of money to the best design professionals, and have a good team working on this thing. Let them do their job and don't worry about things like "WHY DON"T THE COLORS MATCH???", "WHY DON"T THEY COVER THAT STEEL??". I'm sure they already thought of it before you did.

They may have done that with the other one also. They may just put the brick over that. Not sure though

I don't know who that other fella is, but I don't ever complain about things, I just update in general public... but as far as that... I've been waiting for the brick panel to be installed... and then they go and do that...

How badass would it be if they played the SECN tonight up on the new scoreboard

Someone with some serious GIF skills and a copy of Close Encounters of the Third Kind could do some nice work with that zone camera image showing the scoreboard. They could show the color lights modulating on the big screen as everybody looks up in awe at the huge, mysterious object descending onto the field. Only instead of a monster size spaceship, it would be a monster size Swaggercopter.

I'm speculating that they are conducting some form of color and intensity calibration on each panel so that they're all identical and synchronized. Possibly see the same with Red and then (don't panic) a giant Blue screen.

Any idea where in Burleson County the photo was taken? There's a hill on Hwy 21 a few miles east of Caldwell and you can see the campus from there.
