Are they going to keep the north side of the SW activation tower bare until the west side stands are done?
they are running video on the giglatron on kyle field. the cams get a good view of it.

Stadium is totally broken, H is different than the rest of "_OME OF THE 12TH MAN". We won't be able to play a home game this season due to this.
The west stands almost look photoshopped in that first pic. What a contrast between new and old.

It's been 10 years since I drove through there and I can't remember where on 21 you have to be. It is a few miles east of Caldwell and the highway is still divided. You come up a rise and look slightly to the right and you can easily see Rudder and Kyle if the weather is decent. It's about a 20-25 minute drive from campus.
I don't know about 21, but you can see them clearly from a long way away on 60.

It was pretty obvious to see how much of the screen was going to be filled by a 16:9 HD picture and then assume most of the rest would be ads.
Jason Cook mentioned in an interview that the size of the board was determined by being able to show (2) simultaneous 16:9 video replays side-by-side. That will be awesome, to see two angles of the same play, in HD, at the same time.

I figured they would cut the board into thirds. That shrinks the video display quite a bit. Hopefully replays will use the full screen.
The section of the board that is blue is 16x9 aspect ratio so they can just past TV aspect ratio video onto it.
There will probably be ads and maybe produced vids (even that's doubtful since the vids will probably be shown on the other 2 north boards as well and thus probably need a common format with them) that use the whole screen but I wouldn't expect anything that comes from a TV feed like a replay to use the whole thing.

Yes and it's the choice if a new generation!
So the blue section is smaller than our old video board and that's the size that I really care about. Who cares how big the entire thing is, the replay size is the only size I care about.
Here's my understanding. The section that is blue currently is the area that will show the live game feed. We've always done this, and left room for score, down, yard line, etc. However, I believe the entire screen will be used for instant replay
No one has mentioned that it appears all the SEZ flag poles are up now, what with all the complaining about how small the video feed will be.
