These new banners are a lot more exciting than the boring old banners that were up there.

They look washed out in person. My first thought was they looked like they had been sitting there in the sun for the last year or two.
I'm going to be really disappointed if they don't do anything else to exterior of the south endzone. It just looks out of place with the rest of the stadium. It's kind of an eye sore
They should have used the same images of people obviously horrified by watching either late Slocum or Fran era football that are used in the Texags banner at the top of the full site pages.

Seriously people......has anyone looked at the plans for the SEZ? There are plans to do additional work....this is why you dont judge a construction project until it is complete.

The only thing that has been shown is brick up the bottom half (which it seems unlikely it will even go up that far now). The part that everyone has been commenting about the most is the visible structure above Bright.
It actually goes up about 2/3 of the way and what leads you to believe that it will not be completed?

I have it on very good authority that Sumlin plans to donate a large amount for a second reno that will include more arches, with multiple nazi-esque Sumlin banners.

It looks like they were scrapped in the most up-to-date rendering (see aguas01's post).
The steel pergolas were scrapped because they were a retarded idea.

I assume the east plaza won't be complete by gameday? Can you enter from the SE corner? My seats are student side, 1st deck toward the south end, so I'm just wondering which entrance is the best to take.

It will be complete. The grass may be laid the night before, but it will be complete.

For some reason I'm ok with the banners and arch in the curtain wall. What the hell is happening here?
I don't have a problem with the banners, but I would have switched them and put the Legendary players up between the brick columns, and hung the 12th man photos where they player banners are now.

The general look is the same, but the angle of the supports, etc. have changed meaning that the facade can't be done to the degree that it was in the rendering. The rendering showed it covering the bottom 2/3 or so.
