Thought I head that the two connected to the zone will remain but get a brick facade placed around them. Obviously the 2 west side ramps will be demolished and 2 towers will replace them just like on east side.

Last I checked a football field isnt a mile long. I'd rather the fans be right on top of the field than have better sight lines.

Probably a stupid question that has already been answered, but when is the brick facade being placed over the north zone? It looks horrible as-is mismatched IMO.

I could be wrong, but I think there is a great deal of trim work that wasn't done to the video board. Just go back and look at the smaller one in the NE corner. All of the edges are trimmed out with a dark gray border material that is lacking here. I can only speculate that there is still more work that needs to be done up there. Some of that might be waiting until Phase 2 as well. We know the large speakers are temporary, so it's plausible that there's other temporary/incomplete stuff up there as well.

It looks half ass to have no facade on the south endzone. Otherwise the place is looking fantastic. I was on campus Monday afternoon and was impressed. Not convinced the east outer portion will be complete in 11 days. To quote Casey Ryback, "I guess we'll just see what we'll see."

The north concrete ramps will be closed in with the north zone facade and I don't think will be usable in 2015 and beyond, all access will be via the 4 towers.

Surely there is more trim work on the south video board to be done.

South EZ will likely get SOME brick facade but mostly what you see now is what we will have for the upper deck, there is simply no way to cover that up with a facade as it extend out over or very close to Bright.

you do realize neither endzone with have a facade? Also, how are you going to do a facade with that massive screen right there?

That cantilevered beam might be permanent for hoisting up maintenance stuff or replacement parts. I assume there are a lot of decent sized fans and other parts in those panels that may need to be replaced eventually, and no one will want to trek up there with them in hand.

Or it could just be temporary and meant for a more permanent backing.

Half right. They'll be encased, but used primarily for egress. There will be doors at the base.

The exploratory demolition on the NEZ facade has already started, and will ramp up through the season.
