When out of town game tickets were first offered by the 12th Man Foundation, we were denied. Said we didn't have enough priority points. We made other plans.

never mind that you get more bang for your buck with all the Dallas pro teams or that the game is on FSN, why would any Dallas citizen want to pay nearly $200 for two tickets to see A&M blast the Ponies if they didn't go to either school?

Meh, if I want to go the game I'll buy tickets Friday night and make the drive up to Dallas in the morning.

I can go to South Carolina St or SHSU @ Kyle for half that price. After gas and incidentals it will be a wash, but I will get to see Kyle Field.

$100 for SMU is ridiculous! Face value for Florida was $100. Why would anyone want to pay that when they could spend the same amount to go to a game at Kyle?

As for the Houston Ags talking attendance smack to DFW Ags. I seem to remember sitting in a not-so-full Reliant last December. Seems like yall should be able to sell it out since you are the better Aggie fans....Just saying.

Houston has beaches within an hour's drive. Dallas does not.

I was there also. Really sold out that stadium there Houston.

They are putting up temporary bleachers in the south end, so clearly they are selling tickets.

My brother bought SMU season tickets - they have jacked up the individual game prices for a&m and TCU So much that season tix were a better deal.

$100 for that crap ass stadium, ridiculous. No thank you.

Oh you crazy Houstonians...every time one of these threads hits it sadly brings out the Baylor and Tech in fellow Aggies. It certainly does go both ways, but seems to be quite a bit more in this direction. I'd figure Aggies would at least try to stay away from stereotypes given that we are basically one, big stereotype to other fans. I must be a dbag with no loyalty to A&M for living up here . I am happy for you guys that love Houston, San Antonio, Austin (did I include all the A+ cities that typically rag on Dallas?). I don't particularly think Dallas is the best thing since sliced bread, but it's certainly not the worst. Neither is Houston, San Antonio, or Austin. Love where you live and let others enjoy the same. I understand logic on TexAgs will never pass, but let's be honest here every city in TX has some good and pretty crappy reasons to live or not live there. Can't we all just get along? (ha)

I grew up in west Texas, so I assume that may be the reason I don't have some unreasonable issue with another town. I also root for every pro team in Texas (oh the humanity!).

Regarding the Aggies up here - we are a strong, but besieged bunch of loyal fans. There is an inherent benefit of proximity to BCS and number of grads presiding in the city of Houston. Come talk to me when you have to constantly deal with a similar level of pro UT/OU (even tech) fans and especially media outside of Austin.

I welcome any of you guys/gals to come on up and help us cheer on the Ags...unless 4 hours is too far for a fan to drive.

I'm giving time for getting stopped by traffic while crossing over Central. Its bit more than 5 even without getting stopped though. I'll say 10 minutes if you walk briskly.

$100 Tix for an SMU game? We play UGA at home and that ticket is only $70. Wow...

It's not the visiting team's responsibility to sell out the home team's stadium, imo. We are supposed to buy up our entire visitor allotment, that's it.

LOL WUT. Paid attendance for Reliant at the Care Car Bowl was 68K. Pretty sure Houston folks did just fine putting butts in an NFL stadium for two 6-6 teams in crappy bowl against an opponent that drew so few fans.

Yup, $200-250 for the wife and I to go to a game against SMU is ridiculous. We'll be in DFW this weekend, but plan on bbq'ing on the patio and watching the game while sipping on a cold beer with friends/family. They might bend over some other people for tickets, but it sure as hell won't be me.

SMU is raping us because this is the only game they have a chance at making money on. You went to A&M for a reason, you have a good job, get your butts to the game and quit being so cheap Dallas Aggies or Houston will own you for life.

I don't know what that implies, but it is most definitely true.

Purchased 2 season tickets for $100 each. Individual game price was $75 each. Sold the TCU tickets for $50 each. Net cost is $50 per ticket and parking will be free. Still can sell the rest if SMU doesn't fall off a cliff.

BTW - SMU jacked up the price of the tickets for the game just like we do for prime opponents.

Point - Get to the game and quit b*tching.
