seriously ashamed. I can understand disagreeing with the decision and even being upset if you had tickets to the game tonight. but it's ignorant to think that because shreveport/ruston didn't receive catastrophic amounts of wind and rain, that no one involved with their football program (or even their fans and students) are from any other part of louisiana that was seriously affected by isaac. even several players from our team are from areas that are now under several feet of water. pretty pathetic to say that they were just using this hurricane as an excuse so they didn't have to play us this week. clearly they weren't looking out for their students and fans traveling from other parts of the state..

I call shenanigans, trs. If you live in an area hit by a hurricane, I guess you have to miss one football game. That doesn't mean everyone else who is completely unaffected has to go without.

As KW said, do you think all the players from LA that are playing for other schools are sitting out this weekend's games? I think not.

i guess i just don't know why it's such a big deal. all they had to go on were forecasts, they were expecting a tropical storm, thankfully they didn't get one. glad they're all okay, see ya on oct. 13. unnecessary to be so selfish and cocky about it.

It was a decision based on money and nothing more. The weather was a convenient excuse. Even if the storm would have taken the path that it was projected to follow for the few hour window they felt compelled to make the decision, rather than the path it was projected to take for days before, after, and what it eventually followed, the game still could have been played. LaTech used fear for financial gain.

Because you probably didn't see it on Facebook enough times already...
