can't get excited about Sumlin.I wish him well. Seems like quite a few fans are disappointed.

A crappy CUSA coach who depended on one stud player (like Fran did with LT) to run roughshod on a crappy conference and STILL can't beat the ONE top 25 team on his schedule all year for the title and a BCS game...is going to lead us to the promised land in the SEC!?!?!

Glad its not my money. Leach was available for the same money. Deruyter too. Rumors of a targeted hiring causing dissatsfaction typically result in the rumored subject being abandoned. Instead we get a fake search and mushroom treatment and are supposed to eat it up. Sum's best move us to keep sherman's whole staff. Which will underscore the stupidity of firing a mediocre coach without a plan to ensure that the $ hit the school takes is justified by the sheer awesomness of new HC. Bush league again.

Well, as much as I thought Sherman should go, I thought with the move to the SEC our Adminstration could at least upgrade.

With Sherman we could expect at least mediocrity.

I fear we will miss these last four years in the four to come, if in fact Sumlin is "the hire".
