I've never seen any SEC stadium that has fans that wave anything other than pom Poms.

Will the 12th man towel eventually be an afterthought at Kyle field?

I hope not because I think the excessive Pom Pom use is sort of silly.

It's all towels all the time for me.

I have a 12thman towel at every game. I am part of the 12th man and will always have a 12th man towel. I will not conform to a pom pom.

I don't know why people think by joining the SEC we're suddenly going to start doing things we've never done for game day atmosphere (pom-pons, etc.). A&M isn't like any school in any conference, SEC wouldn't be any different than being in the Big 12, in this respect.

I go postal when I hear that after that miserable day in the Cotton Bowl. Although I will say we sat with Vol fans and they were good winners....which is usually pretty easy, plus I had my twin grandsons with me.

I have never once seen a pom-pom in the Swamp (not counting visiting Vols), and I hope I never will. By no means are they necessary.

Probably the worst thing the SEC does by and large. Certainly worse than the cheating.

Mississippi State=Cowbells.

Most outside of the State fans hate them. But I love those things. Bought one for myself the last time I was in Starkville. Maroon with a black handle.

Yeah, along the same lines as Bayou Bengal's comment, LSU people don't shake pom poms. We shake our flasks ... and middle fingers, when there's a bad call. Seriously, though...A & M, you should introduce VUVUZELAS to the SEC! Talk about a splashy entrance into our conference!

pom pom capitals of the world are Bama, Auburn, UGA, and TN....and it's the entire stadium, not just a section. You will never pry their pom poms from those 4 fan bases cold dead hands ever.
