I'd like to restore the original antiquing to my ring but don't want to have to lose it to Balfour for a month. Is it something a local jewler could do or is it too risky?

If your Ring is under warranty, the original finish will be restored at no charge.

Oh no! You don't want to void the ring warranty!
In a few months, aggie ring 2.0 is being released, and it will include an android phone, mp3 player, and garage door opener. If you void your warranty, you won't be eligible for an upgrade to aggie ring 2.0

Hoss - those "benefits" you list all require sending off to balfour for a month, which the OP specifically said they didn't want to do.

•Balfour's warranty is void if someone performs work on a Ring other than Balfour. A repair fee must be paid for any Ring not under warranty.
