I listened to Bill L today on KZNE. He said gameday would be better at kyle field if we joined the SEC but that's the only thing that would be better.

He said in order to win in the SEC means we would have to CHEAT to win so we would have to have coaches who are willing to sell their soul to win. If we are not going to do that we won't be able to outrecruit the SEC for texas kids.

He said we would end up being arkansas, ole miss, miss state because we are not going to pay players and sign players who can only sign their name with an X.

I totally agree with this analysis and since he's in the recruiting business I think he knows.

If we could be in the SEC and win that would be the perfect world. I'd love it. The bottom line is we won't win in the SEC without cheating.

Billy and Louie also said texas will not control the decisions in the pac 16 like they did in the big 12 which have lead to texas making so much disproportionate money.

He also said though that there are some very high ranking officials at A&M that want to be in the SEC. I think he's talking about Gene Stallings because that's what I read in the SI article.

Billy estimated it's 70-30 we go pac 16 vs. SEC so the SEC is a possibility.

yes, we would suck at football in the SEC, but we are mediocre at best right now. The other sports in the SEC, A&M should be towards the top.

their other penalty is Reggie Bush taking money from a booster. Thats no worse than when Greg Hill or Rhett Bomar got paid to do zero work by boosters. That goes on everywhere.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ and La Jolla, CA so I know about the PAC 10 also. Going to the PAC 16 for the same old Big XII BS flat out suxass compared to A&M being the SEC by themselves.

There isn't a program out there, even crappy ones, that hasn't at least committed some minor infraction in the past couple of years. That includes us. In the Pac 10 we'll have to deal with teams like Oregon who in the last decade has had a team rap sheet as bad as anyone including a guy involved in a manslaughter charge.

I don't care one way or the other. I laugh at those posters that think the SEC is that much better than the Pac 10. AGAIN, go look at the head to head record between them & power rankings of the conferences (Sagarin, etc) over the last decade. A crappy UCLA team went into Noxville and beat the SEC runner up a few years ago, and the Pac 10 teams aren't p*****'s about going on the road/out of their region in Non Con games. And I don't give a **** about the MNC streak considering USC probably should have been in a couple of those games, especially in 07 & 09 over Ohio St & OU. The Pac 10 sucked in men's bball last year, but it's also been better over the last decade than the SEC.

BTW, we have nothing in common with Pac 10 schools. We have NOTHING in common with the state of california.

Pac 10 school fans will not be traveling to college station to watch their team play in Kyle.

A&M stands to lose a lot of money as a tag-a-long with texas to the Pac 10.

The PAC 10 isnt as clean as everyone wants to believe. Oregon just kicked out their Hesiman conteneder QB bc he couldnt stay out of trouble.

Sounds like he's been told that will likely happen and he's been tasked to sell it. If so it's another missed opportunity for A&M Football.
