yes, it really happened. i was on the track on the alum side, headed towards gate 5 (south-west), but i didn't see the guy being persistent after being stopped a few times -- i saw a guy running around like a looney and a CT with a sabre (never drawn, mind you) pop him upside the head, knocking the NU fan to the ground.

i'm surprised more people didn't see it -- well, i'm sure lots of people did see it, just no one else who has posted to this thread yet -- because it happened somewhere in the neighborhood of the 30-40 yard line (south) smack dab in the middle of the field (east-west)...

i was upset to see the handful of NU fans rushing the field, but when i saw this particular bit of retaliation, i just kinda stood there in shock...

How many non regs were down there helping defend the field? Oh thats right they left mid way through the fourth quarter.

Kyle field worth protecting because 55 flags fly over it on game days commemorating the 55 Aggies killed in WWI. The turf itself to me has a more personal reason. I yell as loud as I can during the games and Ag football players play very hard. They deserve not to have the field crapped on by some drunk fans. Also, it is our. We own it. Just like you wouldnt want drunk A-holes running around in your back yard, I dont want them on our field.

If this program wasn't in such shambles, we'd win a home gane against someone other than Louisiama Tech or Baylor, and no visiting fan would have any reason to celebrate on Kyle.

I believe the alumni were gone long before the student body did.

And maybe if they let Non-Regs get special priviliges that don't even exist (like walking on SACRED Kyle Field), then maybe we would defend it.

Or we would let the people in charge of defending it defend it.

That guy could have gotten them off the of the field just like the cops did - by yelling and getting in their face. However, he crossed the line, and now we all have to pay for one guy's stupid decision.

I will admit it. I am definitely a 2 percenter. Losing home games is getting extremely more difficult to watch.

Just think, all the teams that have beat us here this year get to take us to the woodshed next year at their house.

RAMF--Yeah I'm going to be pissed about it. I'm going to be pissed when someone from an organization who says they represent the University, who say they are Keepers of the Spirit get out of control and punch an opposing fan. Of course they have no place on Kyle, and I have NO problem with anyone, Corps or not, chasing them off. Punching one who did nothing to deserve it is EVERYTHING EVEYONE CALLED OUT TECH FOR LAST YEAR. We're now on their level. I totally agree!! Greek organizations are a joke at A&M and take a back seat to the Corps. They are going to try and turn this into something that will help advance the Greeks. At least this punch was for something unlike fighting over who gets to guard the keg a a frat party! If you don't like the Corps than you should have gone to t.u.!! A&M IS the Corps and don't forget it FRAT Daddy's!

Ask most people and Kyle Field is a shrine. To me, and obviously a lot of other Aggie fans tonight, Kyle is a 80,000 stadium. And that is about it.

I am sick of some of you people who defend these *******s who all provoke these things by running out on the field. Why is it when our corps defends our field from being trampled by these people, who know they are not supposed to be on the field, some of you jump up and have to bad mouth the corps and act like they invited the opposing fans onto to the field and then changed their minds about it. Yes it is unfortunate that the guy got popped but if he is bold enough to tresspass on our field then he should be bold enough to take the punishment. Quit pretending that our corps is the only ones at fault. For those of you who want to flame on at me after this, well after this game I don't particularly give a flying ****.

Like I said before, as if we needed any other reason to be the laughing stock of the Big XII.

Not only is our defense horrible, our offense is pretty bad, we are 1-3 against teams with winning records, but now our fans are punching people after the games AND to top it all off others are defending it afterwards.

Truly a sad day for Texas A&M.
