Saying she's very good at her job is going a little overboard. She's better now than she used to be (practice makes perfect and all), but it wasn't long ago that she was absolutely terrible. Couldn't even remember the names of the teams she was covering half the time. The fact that she got a job doing sideline reporting to begin with is a testament to her hiring being almostly completely based on looks because she just had no skill or knowledge at all when she first started. Now people can say, well everyone is that way when they first start out, but I don't buy it. Even straight out of college, I knew what I was doing. Am I better at it now? Of course. But I was good at it then too. That's why people hire college graduates for important jobs and not high school graduates.
As for her being some athlete's daughter, complete and total BS. Maybe she's trying to make herself feel younger by saying some pro athlete thinks of her as his daughter. But I'd venture to guess she's older than a good percentage of the athletes she interviews and within 5 years of most of those who are older. Sorry Erin. None of those guys are thinking of you as a daughter.
This is the double standard with women. They want to be thought of as professionals and not have sexist comments thrown at them, but they also want to be able to wear skimpy clothes and flirt with the peope they work with in order to score points on the job. Women, especially those who work in male-dominated fields, use their sexuality for career advancement all the time. Not all, but a lot. Those who do lose the right to complain about sexism when people call them out for such tactics.
