owls don't have ears. or tails (at least not like that).
we should be able to figure out which game that was. Rev IV served from 75 to 84. Baylor and Rice played at Kyle in even numbered years I think. From the crowd, it looks to be cold, but not raining. That may be the Owl mascot

Then again, look at service pictures from the late 70's and very early 80's, post vietnam, the grooming standards were crap, cept maybe in the marines. People were sporting sideburns and moustaches, and wookie hair all over the place.

I graduated high school with the guy (being bitten) in the picture posted by ep_12_00. The year he was mascot corporal he brought Rev home to his parents house several times. On one of those trips my father in-law took my 2 brother in-laws (probably 9 and 12 at the time) to visit Rev and one of them (12 year old) was bitten.
That's sweet, Rev playing frisbee... Wish I could get my collies to do that. They're all about 6-8 years now, and getting lazier every day...
Bitten or nipped? A collie uses its mouth like we use hands, and they nip, mouth, and tug on things all the time when playing and roughhousing. If they are really biting down in anger or fear, they WILL leave holes, as they have pretty sharp, narrow cainines.

When you walked on the old Kyle astroturf, your shoes immediately got covered in a layer of green dust. I assume that was created as the surface gradually degraded in the sunlight and weather.

That Rev was a great dog: guarded Kyle, played frisbee and chased mascots.
