Short story: Yard "sale" where everything was put on the curb and free for the taking. These pictures were part of that "sale".

If the Aggie(s) can be identified, I'd love to get these photos back to them and/or their families. I don't think the people throwing them out were related, but I didn't get a chance to ask.

President Eisenhower visited A&M in 1946. I am seeing 1951 repeated as well, but not sure about that.

Based on photos in my dad's Aggielands, I think that is the 1950s visit of Ike.

Imagine having a president of this caliber today.

I'm pretty sure that's Ike in the middle of that first picture

Obviously the Corps Commander for Ike's visit. I think the guy on the other side might be A&M President Harrington?

Think the Corps guy is this guy from the class of 1951?

The event here was probably A&M President Harrington's inauguration.

Audie Murphy stopped by campus, I don't know if it was the same event

Looks like ROTC on this guy's collar, and ROTC brass on his shoulder. But the cap badge is definitely NOT A&M.

Looks like Royal Navy to me.

Don't believe the Capt. is RN. His uniform stripes are too narrow and lack the "executive curl/Elliot's Eye" on the top of the rank.

Additionally, the cap badge, while not clear, appears wrong as RN usually have an anchor on black background like your example. The Capt.'s appears to be solid and I can't make out an anchor.

He might be a Capt. for a RMS or a foreigner

He came to the inauguration of A&M President Harrington in 1950-51

I agree he also came earlier. Maybe for the dedication of the MSC?

Uh....no, that was Smith and he was much older and had a white beard. Any number of Royal Mail Steamships were floating (unlike the Titanic) about in the era that picture suggests

I tried to look up the RMS insignia. All I could find was the White Star Line / Titanic. Their caps had a red flag with a white star in the middle of that cap badge.

I think the photo here might have an anchor, but it's impossible to tell
