14 miles. New personal record for longest run. Training for first marathon (BCS) in December and pretty happy with how the plan is going so far. That being said, I need a nap.

20 mile run

7th and final 20 miler of this training block. I treated this one as a dress rehearsal for Chicago, full race kit with a goal of even splits. I ended up with slightly negative splits with some energy left over at the end of the run! Taper starts next week which will be 50 miles including a 16 mile long run.

Very impressive! I'm 6 weeks from my first 20 miler. Hoping it is significantly cooler come November. Second the sun came up this morning, my heart rate started to rise. Stayed around 155 for the first 9 miles.

20.25 mile run, 2+ loops of White Rock Lake.
Same plan, mimicking Chicago race day with regard to wakeup time, eating before and during the run, but ran easier than race pace. Ramped up the pace the last 3 miles or so, that was encouraging.
