I am assuming this is what I have but going on about week 5 with it. Definitely hurts on the outer elbow but also feel it even more where my bicep meets my forearm.

I know the first rule is you are supposed to rest it, which I have for 6 day increments twice. It will feel better but the first time I do any physical activity it flares up again. However I refuse to stop working out for an extended period of time. Are there any other options? Steroid shot? Some days it hurts to even brush my teeth so this has been a giant pain in the ass.....any suggestions here would be much appreciated.

Steroid shot into the tendon not recommended. You can order a cho-pat brace online to help. Usually PT can help with this along with some dry needling can calm it down. But if you don't take it easy it will linger. Nasty injury that can take a while to heal up in my experience.

There is another thread here on tennis elbow but this is what you want

https://www.theraband.com/products/flexbar

I use the blue one daily. Started out with tennis elbow in my right arm and then got golfers elbow in my left. Got to the point I couldn't do pullups and chin ups anymore because gripping the bar was killing me.

The Tyler twist (tennis) and reverse Tylet twist (golfer) are the exercises to do with this. I do both on both arms. Seems to work, still flares up after golf or racket sports but this helps.

I sat out lifting for a couple months but couldn't stand it anymore so dove back in. I hate wearing the bands (don't seem to do much) but the flexbar has helped.

This! Find that other thread from earlier this year!

My pain was the same area… anterior/lateral where biceps meets forearm. Got painful just to pick up my coffee cup. It was starting to really get me down because it just would not go away and was really affecting my exercise routine and daily life.

The Theraband was like magic for me. I dealt with terrible tennis elbow for well over 6 months. I did tons of rest, spent over a $1K on Airrosti, sleeves, bands, and all sorts of other home PT before finding this and doing the Tyler Twist exercise.

Don't go too heavy on the Theraband. I settled on the red one finally. It's enough resistance without being too painful. I thought the strongest one would be better for me but it was painful.

I get it on and off (more commonly golfer's elbow). I've had tons of PT, done exercises, had injections, etc. One thing I can say for sure is that the surgery for it is really not all that great, based on the hand and upper extremity surgeon I see. Try to figure out what is an aggravating factor and eliminate it to the best of your abilities (doing long surgeries bring it on for me, so I have to force myself to take mini-breaks to stretch out, etc.). Aggiederelict has helped me out with other issues. Listen to what he says.
Best of luck

If you are lifting and refuse to take a break from it, use lifting straps for all pulling activities, Lat pull downs, pullups, deadlifts, rows, etc. It will help prevent addiitional agrivation.

Well ****, I'm going on now 6 weeks and I thought it would just heal up in a few weeks.

What worked for you OP?

Does Airrosti work at all or should I just get some resistance tubes linked above and youtube some PT exercises?

Order a Therabar (err on the lighter side) and look up The Tyler Twist.

It was like a miracle for me after months of rest, Airrosti, home PT, etc.

I suffered with it this year. At its worst, I had pain from my shoulder all the way down my arm, and it was waking me up at night.

Couple of other things I did (beyond what's suggested above) - slept with a wrist brace on. My pain was the worst at night and first thing in the morning when I woke up. The wrist brace helped stabilize my entire arm. I used the kind you wear fur carpal tunnel.

Second thing - on the mornings when it hurt the worst, I would get to work and ice it. My office has one of those Sonic ice machines, so I'd fill up a ziplock and hold it on my elbow for probably an hour.

Third thing (and this prob made the biggest difference) - my dr gave me a prescription for Meloxicam. One pill knocked out my pain and inflammation for about a week. This gave me enough relief that I could comfortably rest my arm. I rarely take any sort of meds and had never taken this one before, so I responded to it well. Key for me was getting the pain to subside so I could rest it and even use those grip bars. I couldn't believe how much better I felt after one single pill. I would only take another when I felt significant pain (and that's still my strategy). I maybe take 2 a month now.

I'm still babying the arm (not using as much weight when I do arm work on that side), but I'm probably 80-90% better. I did get Versa Grips for my deadlifts. My grip strength has never been good, and this just made it worse.

Just doing the exercises with the flexbar alone should do the trick...did for me

For me, it was a combination of anti-inflamitories, stretching, and massaging. And patience.

Did it go away permanently or is it the kind of nagging injury that will stick around semi permanently. Makes it very painful to play with the kids sometimes so it's really bumming me out

Mine went away completely but it took several months of work.

Mine pretty much went away completely. My major bout with it was almost 2 years ago, and lasted probably 4 to 6 months if I recall. After finding the Therabar, it went away completely for well over a year. I did have a little flareup that was very minor compared to the one two years ago. I just went back to the Therabar and it went away.

Just ordered one of these. I pulled my elbow riding the subway in Boston last month. This weekend, it hurt more than it had since it happened. It keeps getting worse, not better. Everything I read said "go lighter than you think you should so I ordered the red. We'll see how it goes.

I had some elbow issues over the last 6 months and even saw a PT to address it.

This has made the most difference and for the most part I am now pain free. Probably one of my favorite additions to my gym.

for those who used the therabar - how long each day did you do the exercises? And about how long did it take to clear up?

I have a couple broad based disc bulges in my lower back and have been taking BPC-157 and TB-500 peptides to help with the associated inflammation. Peptides allegedly have systemic effect, rather than local, and my chronic tennis elbow has completely disappeared after 5 weeks of peptides.

It might be something to consider if the theraband plus modified exercise doesn't get it done.
