But have been battling allergies or something from the little ones daycare and those two rides completely zapped me because of it.

I'll give you 1600 when you stop riding it...

jk! I was stoked to get ours in. Still riding months later, by far my favorite at home workout.

If anyone in Dallas wants a used Gen 3 bike I might be looking to upgrade.

On week 3 of the discover your power zones course. Going great so far. I didn't realize how poor my endurance was. I previously just did tabata style rides, cranked up the resistance and pmao (pedaled my ass off) while out of the saddle to get huge output numbers. I'm excited to see how I progress with this new training method.

Finally got our bike. Is it supposed to be that difficult to clip out of the bike?? I've read that the black cleats (0 degrees) are easier to clip in and out of. Does anyone have any experience with the different cleats? Thanks

I guess I can see how a 0 degree cleat would be a little easier. But you'll need the cleat alignment to be bang on or it could be hell on your knees. And even then, some people just need the range of motion to avoid knee pain.

But really I'd say no, it's not supposed to be that hard. You might just need to get used to it. need to be quick twist to the outside. Don't be afraid to give it some punch. I've never had an issue and I crank up the retention adjustment as hard as it'll go on any new pair of pedals I buy.

I was never a bike guy so to me it was hard as well. Point your foot down and twist to the outside like 03ag mentioned and that should work. First few times I thought I was going to break the peddle or the shoe but I guess that's the way they're supposed to be.

There is a little allen screw behind the back of the pedal that you can loosen to make it easier to clip and unclip. But before you do that, make sure you are not pulling up while trying to twist out. It will make it MUCH harder to unclip. Focus on stepping your heel down and sideways to get out, not up and sideways.

ETA: And yes, the black cleats require a very precise positioning or they will tear your knees up. I would avoid them unless you are really comfortable with being able to very precisely adjust the cleat position to your needs.

Thanks will, keep trying and work on it. Yeah at first, I was loosening the little screws but after watching the Peloton 101, it said, don't do it so I tightened it back up. But after some googling, the folks at reddit said loosen the screw.

Peloton is telling you not to because their lawyers don't want to pay for it when your foot comes unclipped unexpectedly because the release tension is too loose and you get injured. So don't loosen it so much that unclipping is easy or effortless. But if it is so tight that it is too difficult to get out, you can loosen it some.

Just don't be stupid, do a click or two at a time until you get it.

My wife's shoes were impossible to get in and out of, so we had to adjust

takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it, clipping in and out is easy, even at the default tension.

Did a 15min HIIT ride with Denis this morning and got a PR. Since I mostly focus on PZ rides, PRs are pretty rare for me. But this morning I just really wanted to kick ass.

Sorry if already been mentioned, but there's some instruction in the beginner videos. Can't remember which ones though.

I've found that unclipping my left foot, then rotating my body off the bike to the right naturally unclips my right foot. Pretty easy now.

Ok..I know i said a little while ago that I was going to purchase a bike, but got busy with life (and waiting on my IRS return) and put it off until now.

I think tonight may be the night to do it. My wife is now on board with it as well.

Two questions:

1. How easy is it to move the bike from room to room? Current house doesn't have much free space and until we get something bigger, I may have to move it between rooms.

2. On the bike shoes. What's the sizing like compared to a normal shoe? For example, I wear a 10.5 in most shows. Should I go up to an 11 or down to a 10 or other?

Thanks!

it's got wheels...but it's heavy so I wouldn't want to be doing it all the time.

I ordered my regular shoe size and it worked fine. My wife went one size up and hers was fine.

1. Pretty easy in my opinion. It comes with wheels.

2. This really varies a lot by manufacturer. I highly recommend you go in to a local shop and try on multiple brands/sizes.

1. It is easy to move as there are wheels on the front. Just stand in front of it, push down on the handle bars until the back end is off the ground, and you can roll it wherever you want. However, it is long and bulky, so if you have narrow doorways or constrained hallway space between the rooms it may not be as "easy" as it would otherwise be.

2. Every shoe brand is different, but most are going to run close to normal, or slightly smaller than normal. If you can, go to a bike shop or someplace like REI and try on several brands. If you do that, but them there to thank them for having a brick and mortar presence to allow you to do that. You may save a few bucks buying online, but if everybody goes to the store to try things on, but never buys there, pretty soon we won't have the stores to go to anymore.

I would go with a 45 min power zone max for your first ride. Nice and easy way to settle in and get comfortable...

Make it a Matt Wilpers PZ Max circa 2019, too.

Will really break the ice.

See..I think a PZ ride with a little Z5 love is "easier" than a PZ Max ride..but only if it's 60 minutes

Did Matt's 90 minute PZE this morning. Love Matt, but some of the songs people pick out...oof. Milli Vanilli and Creed in the same ride.

Becs Gentry's 4/24/21 endurance run is awesome. It's also a recap of her olympic trial run. She's such a beast.

Yikes. Almost did that ride too but slept in and did an old 75 minute one. Thanks for the warning.

Peloton ordered!

Says it won't deliver until the 29th of June.

What are the odds they improve on that time?
