Y'all weren't lying. PR'd at a 488 output. Over 15 miles and 702 kCal burn. That was nuts. I might take that one again and shoot for over 500.

Can you ride the bike without paying the monthly fee? If I get tired of paying the fee, Will the bike function like a regular no bells and whistles exercise bike if I don't want to pay the fee? Thanks.

And i think if you don't have the subscription you won't be able to use anything associated with the screen. But the resistance and flywheel will still work. Sounds rotten though

We bought a Tread+ because I'm bad at taxes and withheld too much. Really enjoying the change of pace.

I think next summer I am going to use my summer school money to buy the Tread+ because I want a better tread and to actually see the leaderboard. But I also want to be able to watch Netflix if I have to do a 2hour run or just don't feel like doing a Peloton class.
Would I be able to see over the screen?

No. The treadmill is great quality and the most comfortable thing you'll run on, but if you're 5ft even, you're not seeing over the front. I'm 6ft and the top of the screen is 6'2" off the ground. I can see over SOME of the screen when I'm on the tread (about a foot off the ground), but certainly not all.
hopped on the bike today for a 45 minute pz ride and im getting a rubbing sound from the belt...i looked and there's defiitely one spot with some additional wear on it. im wondering if maybe some sweat/dirt got in there and just dried up?

I had a hole in my belt, but it was super early in March of 2020. However, Peloton was great and I got my part in a couple of days I think.
I had to replace my front bearing during COVID, but they shipped me the part, and I did the work myself following the directions in a video they sent me the link to. I realize this isn't much help, but my point is that if there's an issue with the belt and you're handy, you may be able to do the replacement yourself.
how loud was the wheel getting when you replaced it? ours is slightly ticking but not that bad.
It wasn't loud, but it was noticeable and was getting worse. At times you could hear it during rides. I did the online chat and the rep asked me to email her a video. She stayed on the chat while I took the video and emailed it to her. As soon as the email went through she quickly said it was the bearing and started processing the replacement.
I know some people have had nightmares with their service department, but my experience was relatively painless.

Also, just fyi: The 45 minute Verzuz ride (Swizz Beats vs. Timbaland) with AT last night was an excellent playlist all throughout!

Initially I was confused because I thought your FTP was you average output over the whole 20 minutes. But when I got done it reset my FTP to lower than my average. Then I went back to look my first FTP test and got even more confused.
1st test **
Avg output - 145
FTP Value - 148
2nd test **
Avg output - 172
FTP Value - 163
FTP is 95% of your avg output over 20 minutes.

Just did Kendall's 20min Pop Punk ride from 4/26/21 and the playlist was straight from my mixed MP3 cd in high school.

They're good but she recycles a lot of them. To the point where I feel like if may have already taken the ride at times.
Broke down. Ordered my peloton bike. Arrives next weekend. Apparently there are some simple programs you can do if/when I decide to stop paying the monthly fee. Otherwise, looking forward to riding.

As long as you use it and don't treat it like a clothes rack the monthly fee is well worth it. Hell, if you only do 20 workouts on it per month, thats $2 a class. Robbery imo.
Only 20? I'm using this about 3x/week and feel it's great value. Even if it was just me. Of course the wife is using it as well.
