Yeah, I agree that it is better without the extra credit rides. However, I would prefer to see a single rider's choice extra credit ride instead of the "accelerator" ride. I did a 3 ride team once and got so fed up with that bull crap I said never again. I had the best experience on 4 ride teams. I'm doing my first challenge now, and I'm enjoying the 4 ride + 1 30 minute accelerator. My goal is to ride every day this year, so that gives me 2 days for recovery rides if I need them.

My team is a lot less serious , nobody whining or even pressuring to get the extra credits. I think we finished 99 and 89 in our last 2 challenges. Without a challenge I do easier rides less often. It's good motivation for me to ride 3 or 4 times a week.
This is my 1st challenge and I'm enjoying the process. Got assigned to a random team. We're a 3 ride team. I'm not on Facebook so no idea what they may talk about, etc. I get an email every Sunday with a reminder of upcoming challenge rides but that's it.

Yes sir. When he said 2 mins Z4, I thought easy peasy, but the overall fatigue made it more difficult than anticipated.
I find myself doing a month or two of primarily PZ rides followed by a month or two of mostly non PZ rides. I think if I stuck to primarily doing PZ rides I would burn out if I went much longer with them being my focus.

Kendall Toole is a cruel person. Today's hip hop ride was absolutely brutal. For the first time my legs told my brain "nope".
On a good note it was a new all time high for me for output at 304. Considering I started 10 days ago at 255 I'm stoked.

It is a joke started by somebody who couldn't remember what kilojoules (kJ) of output were called. So the Texagsism of "pelotons or whatever the units are called" began. I was looking back at my original posts from 4 years ago. Quite a few people were VERY skeptical of this bike. I actually use it more now than I did back then. It sure came in handy during the pandemic.

Indeed. It really promoted a new way of fitness, that excludes a gym. When I talk to people about Peloton, I explain that they are much more than what they are known for (the bike).
