Ok kids, today's lesson is called don't be a slug for 6 months and expect to keep your fitness level. Since last July, for a whole host of reasons, other than a peloton class here or there and leading a spin class about every other week, I have done almost no exercise and have gained about 15 pounds. Today I paid the piper for that slovenly behavior when I took an FTP test for the 1st time since last July. In July my FTP was 236...I started out the test today shooting for 195-200. I failed. Miserably. My FTP right now is 173. I have a long way to go to claw all that lost fitness back, but here we go!
