I did the 20 minute intro test this morning. That sucked big time. 129W FTP for me to start out. I'm doing the 4 week Discover Your Power Zones program, so I'm looking forward to seeing how I improve between now and the test at the end.SeaHoss said:

Can't get in the ring anymore but I used to love boxing so I usually hop over to the workshop a couple of times a week and do various boxing workouts on the heavy bag. You don't need to go buy all the fancy equipment, just need a simple heavy bag, but Fight Camp has a really good app to lead you thru some boxing drills. As it relates to Peloton though, your second FTP test no matter who it is, is going to be far better than the first. I think part of why my first test was so much worse was that there is a method to how to take the test. I understand it now and while I am improving, it isn't nearly as big a jump as the second test comparted to the first.BQRyno said:

Everybody holds back a bit on the FTP test the first time, even if they don't know they are. I always suggest that people do some Power Zone rides or a few of the intro to power zones classes before they test the first time just so they have a better idea of what they can sustain for longer intervals. The only thing you should want to do after an FTP test is puke or take a nap. If somebody is able or interested in taking anything other than a cool down ride after their FTP test, they didn't go hard enough in the test.TraditionsPD said:
