Wow. You didn't know what a Grand National was? Regardless of what you think of the aesthetics, it was pretty badass for the time. The turbo V6 put out more horsepower and torque than most big blocks of the time, and the GNX version went 0-60 in under 5s - unheard of for the time.

I can understand saying it wasn't one of the most influential cars of the last 25 years as G-Body cars were killed and the big 3 went almost entirely to FWD thereafter. But having to look up a GN and then claiming it's meaningless?

The GN didn't have impact. That's my point. What changed as a result? Nothing. They even killed it. I remember the 4-4-2 better than I remember the GN.

The Xterra wasn't a "rebodied Pathfinder" It was a completely new vehicle. Different powertrain, different body, different market niche. The Xterra also prices $6000 less than a Pathfinder. It was marketed to a completely different demographic, because the Pathfinder had become a more luxury-oriented SUV. Methinks you are showing your ass with this and most of the rest of the comments on your list.
