at slow speeds car seems to lurch forward with revolutions of the tire.

Sounds like your rotors are warped. When was the last time you changed your brake pads? Did you turn your rotors, too?

tree91 is right, it's probably the Rotors.

What kind of car is this? my guess is the rotors, unless you have a bent rim...

Warped Rotors. I just replaced mine, and it did the same thing.

next question - i've been reading online about warped brake rotors. i don't have a torque wrench. Who am I kidding, I have no automobile savvy whatsoever.

Is there a reputable place in DFW that can take care of this for me? I do not want to get reamed over something like this. Thanks!
