The auto board use to lust for factory installed forced induction that came with a warranty. Turbos have successfully been used for decades in and outside the US. No need to be scared of them if the engine they are attached to has been well developed over time. Just don't buy the first or second year model

Keep it clean
Moderate use (no extreme conditions or regular aggressive stops/starts)
