2026 F150 tremor 402b package in antimatter blue and 5.0 v8
It was time to get a new work truck and so I am back in an F150. I really, really like chevys, but Ford is the current standard for my needs. I am on the road 30-40k miles a year all over Texas and little bit of New Mexico and Louisiana. I keep a bed full of tools and some electronics in the cab. I have been driving a 2023 Tundra currently and it's been fine, but there are features that the F150 has that just make it perfect.
Seats: nobody does them better. So comfy and good warmer/chillers
Access: the Tundra had subscription only based remote start that had a difficult sequence to nail down on the key fob, it would only run for 10 minutes, and then when you opened the door it would shut the engine off; maddening. The F150 has remote start that works. Plus, this truck has keypad access. The freedom to have no keys or phone and run out to the truck to get something is wonderful.
Interior cab space: it's got the best use of space in the back. I missed the flat floor that I could put a bunch of pelican cases in no problem.
On board power: hated having to go inside and push a button to turn on wall socket power for both the Tundra and the Silverado I had prior. This f150 has the interior sockets on if the engine is on. The bed has two 110v sockets with a push button near by to idle up the engine for optimum power generation.
Ride: is nice and soft; a little floaty but such a nice change from most cars and trucks these days.
Engine: it's not a ecoboost. It doesn't have all the torque @ 1500 rpm. But it makes glorious aural pleasure from 3-7000 rpm. I am not getting good gas mileage any time soon thanks to that.
