I have a 2019 Yukon 5.3L with 97K miles.

Is it too late to add an AFM DFM disabled or could now be the perfect time?

Not too late unless it's started ticking. Plug in a Range disabler and start running 5w30 or 0w40 if you haven't already

I've always wondered if the engine would have issues with a different oil weight than the standard 0-w20 with the range.

I put one in my '23 Trail Boss 5.3 at 28,000 miles. Sitting on 72,000 miles in a little over a year (I drive a lot) and no sign of issues.

Always ran 0W-20 and change every 5-6K miles.

Edited to add: A nice side feature is it disables that damn auto-start "feature".

Got a link? There are plenty out there. I assume they're all not the same?

Been running 0w20. I should change that going forward?

I added one after the ticking started. Still ticks, but it does seem less noticeable. Added at around 175k, now has 290k. 2010 Burb 5.3. Runs great
