My 2018 Ram 2500 experienced something new to me while I was on vacation last week and it sat in the driveway - came back and the touch screen on my display no longer works. Tried a soft reset and that was a waste of time, did a hard reset yesterday and it seemed to work....until this morning.

So I've determined that I need a replacement or aftermarket radio/screen/HMI. I'm right at 200k on this truck, so won't say that OEM is off the table but at the same time - I have little confidence this won't happen again with OEM.

I haven't bought an aftermarket radio for a vehicle since CD players with removable faces were top of the line. I see a bunch on ebay for surprisingly not that much money, many with quite a bit larger interfaces than my truck has. Is it just a crap shoot no matter what direction I go or is there something out there that is worth looking at?

Go to crutchfield and see what it brings up when you enter your vehicle info.

I have a Boss in my 2004 2500 Ram. No complaints other than the Bluetooth will disconnect on occasion but reconnects on it's own. I noticed it's most common when driving near utility wires.

My installer recommended the brand. He has them in all his vehicles.
