How about the poor man's Urus - aka RSQ8? Very fast, nice interior, relatively ok quality. Cayenne Turbo GT is effectively the same Porsche variant of the car.

You may struggle with 4 passengers and a dog depending on size of dog. Not a ton of cargo space behind the rear seat in my Cayene for all of that, but it's a great quick/nimble dog car for 2-3 people and "stuff".

If you ditch the truck, you could always buy a utility trailer for those Lowes/HD runs.

Another option - BMW is bringing the new M5 touring to the US. Nearly 1k HP with the hybrid drive, and I'd expect that S63 engine will be able to be tuned up much hotter very shortly. The electric range of the PHEV is ~25 miles so that would cover half of your daily commute. MSRP is under $140k.

M5 touring might be my new answer for OP, can't get much more "if you know, you know" than the first 5 series wagon for sale in the US in 15 years annd it's got 700+ hp.

That rear end has a serious "Subaru fugly" thing going on. As an owner of two previous versions of the WRX, I must say I like it.

A rode in a friend's the other day . . . The listed horsepower has to be low. I couldn't believe how fast it was. And the loudest vehicle I've ever been in. I thought we were going to break windows rolling through north dallas
The Escalade V is listed at 682 hp combined with a 10 spd automatic transmission, that thing should be ridiculously fast.

If you want a vehicle that people will comment on and want to talk about when you're at the gas pump, I recommend:

A Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, preferably in a wacky color.

A Ford Bronco Raptor

With either one of those, you're also instantly a member of a club. With the Wrangler, you'll need ducks and with the Bronco, you'll need stickers. But people will talk to you about your vehicle frequently.

You wanted new but, the vehicle I had for about 8 months in 2007 that got the most interest from random people was a 1977 VW bus.

Driving that 2.0L air cooled Vee Dub, everybody was your friend and assumed you were a super cool guy. And everybody older than me in California, had a story about their experience in a Volkswagen bus, or it reminded them of their uncle who used to have one.

Unfortunately, I sold it when I moved to Australia but that's actually a good thing about VW Buses. You can quickly sell it for the same money you bought it for because there's a lot of demand.

6300 lbs, seats 7, has all the tech and safety you could ever want, and makes a ton of fun noise. Surely the meh is sarcasm!

I know, that was a bit tongue in cheek.

I wish Ford still made an E series van, a Quigley converted 4x4 HD van with a nice interior would be sick. Transit vans just don't do it for me.

Ohh ohh. Idea.

I've seen some of these and they're mostly "my wife and I like to bang and would never use contraceptives" for the mega family.

But… find a Nissan NV3500 and overland that sucker. 1ton chassis. And can do just about any utility task imaginable.

I saw one lifted with BFF KO2s. It was pretty sweet

Also, I saw a decked out Grenadier at HEB in Frisco today in that sand color.

Even my 5 yr old stopped and said "woah that's a cool car"

GAC is electric captured. He'd rather drive an uncomfortable cheaply built ugly vehicle as long as he can claim a 0-60 time. Nevermind that 98% of the time your performance is dictated by the car in front of you or traffic laws.

For the OP, I'd say keep your truck for the bed and for towing and buy something fun rather than trying to buy one vehicle for everything that winds up being a 10mpg somewhat fast luxury suburban.

I don't know dude. It's Lexus LM (I have to guess it stands for luxury minivan) not available in the US. And I would think this is more for "I'm on a business trip and partying and drinking with hot hostesses in the back" type of car.

Escalade V for a single dude with a gf and a dog? What ridiculous excess and waste of space. Go for it if that's your vibe, but I don't equate that over-powered, rapper luxury mobile with anything relating to "car enthusiast" other than the big power and noise.

If I were you, I'd be looking at the Porsche Cayenne GTS, RS6 or E63 wagons, SQ8/RSQ8, Genesis GV80 Signature.

You could also look domestic at the Navigator or Aviator with the Ecoboost.

Escalade V is "rapper style" but a Navigator isn't??

Solution here is easy, for what you say you want, you really need to be looking at buying two cars instead of trying to fit all of your needs into one.

By a new Raptor or Bronco Raptor (around $82K) for doing truck things/towing etc. and then separately shop for something fun on the side that you could daily.

It'd bust your budget a bit, but I've been continuing to check the market on the CT5V Blackwings.

My current dream combo is to have a Bronco Raptor + CT5V, so you'd basically be living my dream life if you paired those up.

I initially hesitated to put Navigator on the list, but the representative Dallas bro above mentioned it.

Neither of those cars scream "Single guy with gf and dog, looking to transition from half ton luxo-truck to enthusiast-oriented SUV" to me, but hey everyone has their opinions.

That we can both agree on but at least the Escalade V would sound cool doing it.

Something decidedly German is my vote for the OP.

And i'll go a little Dave Ramsey here, I hope all your affairs are in order that you can justify dropping $150k on a car.

I've got a 24 Raptor R in avalanche with graphics and get comments on it daily. It's my favorite truck so far and rides much better than my 2023 TRX. If you shop around, you can usually pick up an R for $10K over. I drove to Louisiana to get mine.
