A friend asked about her daughter's car which is running rough. All I have ever done is spray the throttle body, but was wondering if Seafoam might be better?
This. I don't know that it doesn't work, so I use it in my gas mower and in my cars. 245K miles and going strong. Just need to find the oil leak, lol.Tumble Weed said:
I use seafoam on everything! Revived a chainsaw from the dead with it.

Multiple ways to do it - adding a can to the gas tank when you have ~1/4 left works pretty well.Bonfire97 said:
Do y'all just put Seafoam in with the gas? Just looked at the label and it says 1oz/gal for maintenance and 2oz/gal for more cleaning. Do y'all just do 2oz/gal at some interval? Thanks!

What makes it the best? Genuine question, never heard of it and I just use b12 every oil change.

Can you get at hi-lo or autozone?

Surely it's not the speed that matters, but the time at high RPMs. Is that what you're recommending? Are you trying for a high rate of fuel injection? If so, how do you produce that?
Never heard it called an Italian tune up. That's hilarious.1agswitchin4lanes said:Mr. Dubi said:

Depends on many factors.
Miles. Age of plugs, how much short distance and idling.
Often times I'll get an older persons car that runs rough or idles poorly, I'll spray the intake/TB, BG44k in the tank and then take it out for a good Italian tune up and get it nice and hot, and that will make it smooth out. My mom drives 5K miles a year and all up and down memorial drive, the engine never works hard or gets warm. I'll take her car to service it, and blast it out on the freeway, and it will make it happy again.
