The guy driving the tow truck is the owner of the truck being towed, he tried to steal the tow truck to keep his truck from being repo'd.

I think the tow truck driver is the guy in the Infamouz tee

that's what i got from reading the comments. someone said the truck (not tow truck) took off on foot after wrecking around the corner.

I would not blame the insurance companies for that decision. That sucks for him but being a hole that he is, it would also suck for everybody else on the road.
