The 24 GMC 2500 AT4 Gasser ended up being too expensive for me to justify vs utilization.

I had planned on just getting a 2.7L EB, but the offer seemed too good to pass up. Really loving the Powerboost engine after 200 miles. Fingers crossed for continued reliability. Should drop my gas bill by at least 50%/mo.

Somewhat embarrassingly, yes.

It was a good truck, but just ended up being too expensive for me. I had anticipated it costing 3-350 more per month over my prior vehicle (payment and gas), but the reality was closer to 450-5, which I simply didn't feel comfortable with vs utilization.

Live and learn.

I hav the PB. When the cat was working properly I got 21.8mpg avg.

When the cat was messed up, it dropped to 18.5.

If you ever see an oddly low mpg over a few week period, consider getting the cat looked at while it's under warranty.

They reprogram and my mpg went back up to 20.5mpg. But never back up to 21.8 which sucked. They have "tolerance" which they consider acceptable before they will swap out the cat under warranty.

Otherwise, been a great truck.

Let's see (since Covid)…

Sold 17(?) F150 XLT to try
20 Tesla Model Y year trial, then
21 F150 Tremor two years, traded to get spouses new vehicle
22 Silverado 150@ RST one year, as a temp solution
24 GMC 2500 AT4 mistake
24 F150 XLT

Hopefully I'll have this one for at least 3 years.

Low fuel light came on at 570 miles, with 50 miles to E....not bad for 1st tank.

Computer says 22mpg on the dot.

Six for us since 2004, counting both drivers.

Picking up #7 in a few days. Going to replace the 2004 farm pickup with daughter's 2015 Duramax 2500. She's mainly driving mom's old 2011 Oddy these days, with 2-year-old twins, so doesn't need pickup. Also, her hubby just traded his Ford 1/2 ton for a 2500 Duramax, so they can still tow.

They got a barely used Denali, because the previous owner decided he needed an AT4 to go off road.

So, my family says God Bless those who trade in new trucks in less than a year.
