I like my work truck white so I don't have to wash it often but I want my next extra car to have a color that stands out. Green or red or blue or something. Tired of all these monochromatic blacks, greys, and whites.

They're properly frame mounted.

As to color, I put in my request for either Incognito grey or Nori Green, but the flat (not matte) grey looks great to me.

Actually haven't driven it much yet so no real review at this point, but the Mark Levinson stereo is a bit of an underwhelming upgrade coming from my old Burmeister system.

This is one of the more frustrating things to me with cars these days. I don't have a problem with primer grey as a color, but why do I have pay extra for a basic color (not primer grey but almost any color that isn't white or black) that has always been standard?

I know why but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. Read an article a few years ago that the proliferation of white cars was partly due to the fact that manufacturers monetized paint colors and people don't care enough to pay the extra for a non-white/black car.

Is this basically the Lexus 4-runner? Looks great.

I've seen some side by sides of the LX600 (LandCruiser 300) and they looked very close. Here are the dimensions I found online:

LX600
L/W/H: 200.6"/78.3"/74.2" w/ a Wheelbase of 112.2"

GX550
L/W/H: 197.1"/78"/75.6" w/ a Wheelbase of 112.2"

I haven't driven either but based on my 2011 LX570 I bet the build quality of the only 300 series LandCruiser available here, the LX600, will be MUCH better than the GX550 with nicer interior.

the GX550 starts in the lower/mid $60s and goes up to close to $90K.

I believe the 4Runner, American Land Cruiser (aka LC Prado elsewhere), and GX are all the same platform

LX and rest of the world's Land Cruiser share a platform as well.

Correct, and the new Tacoma is on a longer wheelbase version of the GX/LC/4Runner platform
