Thought I would pass along….recently purchased a '24 Tahoe Z71 from Lone Star Chevy and it was probably the best experience I've had in 25 years. After the deal was signed ($ exceeded expectations), the GM (Johnnie Smith) shook my hand and gave me a full set of all weather floor mats….all 3 rows and cargo. The only other experience that comes close was Sewell. I know everyone has their own metrics and expectations on a good deal, but am very happy. My salesman was Harry Doggett.

I'll second this. I bought a used F-150 from them in November. My salesman was George Castillo. Had everything ready to go when I got there from CS.

The only "issue" I had was that they messed up one page of the finance paperwork. The finance guy I worked with (can't remember his name, unfortunately), drove to my office in College Station the next day to have me sign the paperwork. I was impressed with that.

Great experience, which is not something I will say about many dealerships.

Good to hear.

We had a terrible experience at Classic. Tried to do the 5000 dollar "package" on every vehicle.

"Elite" Classic did the same dealer add-on nonsense to me in '20. I am never going back there. Lone Star had none except for some fancy security lug nuts that were $595. They offered to remove them, but after I saw them I was ok with it.

$595 lug nuts? Is that a typo?

You'll be on Harry Doggett's Christmas and Birthday card list going forward . I have been since 2010. I had a good experience in 2010 when we bought a Tahoe - but got tired of waiting on their service department so I've moved on. I would buy another Chevy from them though.

Eh, negotiation is a give-and-take. He said he was satisfied with the overall price. Maybe there's an incentive to move those lugnuts that can be made up somewhere else in the negotiation?

For $70K+ I would hope it has floor mats.
