We have a brand new rental for our time up here in yellowstone and last night the keys fell out of my.pocket in between the driver seat and center console. When I reached down to get them they fell in to a little hole under the console. When I tried to reach in there and get them they fell even further down a little hump in the body and now I have to take the center console off my turo rental on the last full day of my vacation.

Yellowstone has been absolutely perfect this time of year though, so can't hate that.

yes, it is annoying as furk. i have a gladiator. key dropped down. i searched and searched and searched. finally had to pull the console off and it was sitting perfectly in the middle.

Here is the hole it fell in to.

$7 socket set from harbor freight while my wife was shopping at a vintage clothing store in bozeman did the trick. Took out the 4 center console bolts and lifted the rear of the console and retrieved the keys. If only I knew it was going to be that easy last night out in BFE Idaho.

Stellantis does a ton of consumer research and talk to vehicle owners.

They know about it and it's not worth the effort to fix.

I work with a supplier to them.

While looking online i saw people often stuff pipe insulation in there to stop this from happening.

We had a blast with the jeep in yellowstone for our 10 year anniversary. Las time we had a jeep was our honeymoon in roatan.
