Seen some weird **** with cars. First time seeing this. Just off the repairable section too.

Granted it was a Goodyear Wrangler, but I've seen a small thorn (akin to blackberry bush) cause a flat lol

A spare tire does you no good when you've got two flat tires.

About a year ago I found an Allen wrench embedded in one of my tires. Thought I had seen it all. It was still holding air good enough to get it to DT. The guys there said they'd never seen that one either.

Blagg Tire & Auto (Grapevine) keep a big jar at the front counter. It's filled with all the weird stuff they've found in tires, sometimes completely inside. Some of them are very surprising, and if you ask they'll probably tell you the story.

Had I set in my tire about a month ago. First flat I've ever had was on the cooper 10 ply. The little f'r was like 3" long. Made the tire shop guy happy. I hadn't seen him in 10 years or more for a flat.

After a repair, I had a persistent shake from my truck. After finally growing impatient with discount tires inability to balance their tire, they took the tire off and found that somehow, during install, they left an entire new valve stem INSIDE the tire. Hahaha….it was never going to balance.

How's this for weird **** found in a tire?

My wife said there was something wrong with the suburban and it's making a clicking noise.

I found half a cage of a cv joint stuck in the shoulder of a brand new Michelin Defender. Still had the titties on the tire. Bought 4 the week before and had to buy another the week after. For some reason DT prorated it thru Michelin. Ended up getting it for half price.

I drove right into a mesquite patch with a brand new Michelin in 2020. Right in the sidewall. Good thing I had certs.

Had a little controlled burn on the farm once that the local VFD responded to with 17 vehicles, none of which had water, by the way. After seeing several near wrecks in their attempt to get to the fire while circling various barns, I met some of them at one gate to the field. They were hell bent on driving out to the fire about another 400 yards until I mentioned to them that we had it under control, but that more importantly to them, we were burning mesquite that had been piled up. I told them I wasn't paying to fix their flats, and they suddenly decided they would walk the rest of the way. I couldn't believe they had enough common sense to stop driving out there, but yet none of them were smart enough to go get a brush truck instead of bringing their extra shovel in their own pickup truck with light bar that they wanted an excuse to use.

I bought the certs this time around. I may just replace the one and not buy a second for a matching pair. Trading this thing in about 90 days. Don't want to spend more than I have to.

Had a pair of tweezers end up in my tire several years back.

Have had deer antler and a speed square in mine along without the normal nails and screws. All proudly displayed in the local tire shops wtf is this doing in a tire case

I have seen all kinds of things cause flats in the tire business. Railroad spikes, antlers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pop rivet shanks, pocket knives, scrap metal on the roadway, curbs. and low tire pressure.

.50 bullet in the tire of my Honda back in '93.

Drove on part of the old NCO beach by Tyndall AFB. The waters just off it had been used as a gunnery range in WWII and apparently spent rounds wash up regularly after storms.

I hit a philips head screwdriver on I-35, which somehow contrived to flip up and embed itself in my sidewall. I've also had a deer antler imbedded in my tire, but that was a 4-wheeler on a deer lease, so not entirely unexpected.

I'll buy the tire for $10

You could stick a plug in that thing and it would last longer than the tire!

I ran over a screw once. No big deal, right? Happens all the time. But in my case, the washer was still on the screw and between the head and the tire! That's how I knew I needed to get to DT fast because I heard it before it went flat.

Happened to me this year. Tundra, stock AT2 gave up the ghost to a mesquite thorn. Son got to help change his first tire. Limped into Coleman, then Early and Discount Tire for four new E-rated Coopers.
