I have a few good DT in the Katy area where I know the managers and shop guys, so I use them.

TBH costco tire department is infuriating to use especially when you're not buying new tires, and some of you know how often I'm at costco apparently.

I've always done business with DT. One thing I have done from time to time when I bought a new or used vehicle with new tires, was go to DT and they will sell you road hazard certificates on them. That way you can deal with them if you need tire help and have some coverage. Their certificates usually run about 25% of the tire cost per tire.

I didn't know they would match costco. I need to leverage that next time I buy.

Absolutely.

Especially promotion time. Get a printed estimate from Costco. Take to store. They Match or beat

If you're on the north side of houston TireLink is another good option. Just a smaller discount tire.

Thanks for all the input, very informative. Headed back to CO next summer so need a good A/T to get up into the mountains. I'm leaning towards the BFG trail terrains. Any feedback on those?

DT this weekend.
Needed a set of TPMS sensors installed on a set of take-offs I bought. Got to DT in Georgetown at 7:30am and was 6th person in line. By 8am when they opened, there were 15 more behind me. When they opened at 8am, I had someone check my new sensors to be sure they could be programmed and then installed and tested and out the door at 8:26am for the princely sum of $40.

Color me impressed!
