Anyone have a good A/C shop around Houston? Truck is a 1990s Chevy Silverado. I've got a guy in Huntsville, but trying to find someone trustworthy down here.

But really, it's not hard work, especially on your vehicle. The manifold will pay for itself the first time you use it. Fill by weight

You can rent a manifold for free at O'Reilly's.

I can do quite a bit, but I don't want to mess with A/C stuff. I've got some leaks that need to be chased down and potentially a compressor issue that might need to be replaced.

Might just take it up north if everyone here does their own a/C stuff. Just figured I'd check here first.

Any place that goes by a first name on LoPo is gonna do you right.

I used Ahns body shop on LoPo for a straight cash good enough freshening up on my hood a while back and couldn't have been happier.

LoPo is full of good auto people.

Webb's Automotive in Cypress is great. I have a 2000 Silverado where the ac went out. I bought a new compressor, condenser and accumulator at the parts store and took it to them to put on after I gave up trying to do it myself. They had no issues doing that. I also bought new rear leaf springs and they put them on for me as well without complaint. Needless to say I go there for every thing now as I trust them and they do good work. Even got my truck inspected there for free since I keep going there and they know me. The guy there I deal with is Cody.

I've used Gilbert before on non-a/c work following 1Ags' recommendation. Been pleased with his work.

I've used Neil's Auto Air Service a couple times for a/c repair and have been very happy with his pricing and turnaround time.
