2016 Toyota Tundra. Parked by hotel front door and the thieves were still bold enough to steal the catalytic converter Saturday night.

Filed insurance claim, drove it 1.5 miles to dealership, and now Toyota says there's a National wait list with 4 months to go.

I had no idea it was this bad.

Will be purchasing whatever I can afterward to prevent future thefts but c'mon

kicking myself I hadn't done that BEFORE Saturday night

Just buy some universal cats for less than $100 ea

The local muffler shop will probably offer to sell you a lightly used one off of a 2016 for a nice discount...

Tundras getting hit hard in my area.

I wonder if having an aftermarket skid plate covering it would slow them down at all? May be cheap insurance at this point.

Father in law had his stolen off his tundra at the boat dock. I just installed the Valhalla shields linked above a couple weeks ago. Won't stop everyone, but better than nothing.

This might be more entertaining than the glitter bomb dude catching porch pirates.

I am just starting to notice it, but I have seen 4 Toyotas (one Prius and 3 trucks) recently in Dallas that obviously have had their cats stolen. Pulling up next to the Prius and it sounding like a 1995 GMC Savanna van with straight pipes, two ladders and dried blue paint on the side doors is confusing for sure.

Recently had my cats stolen at Park and Ride in Katy. The cost to replace at dealership was close to $5800; Insurance paid most. They had my truck approx one month. I was told so many getting stolen parts are getting difficult to get. I now have put skid plates on by my truck and wife's sequoia. Be careful where you park, they are in and out in only a matter of minutes.

Google Tundra cat shields - there's like 10 companies making these now.

Tundra has 4 cats - 2 very easy to reach - which is why they are targeted.
