Jeeps are popular and great off road, but some of us have to be different. Not a Jeep thread for the rest of us:
My 2000 Xterra 4x4 XE. I call it "The Falcon". She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.

Yeah, that's a blistering 170HP 200Ft/Lb torque 3.3L V6. Actually, it might be pushing w whopping 180HP with a few mods I have done. 225,000 miles and still runs great. 5 speed manual.
Current Mods and setup:
2" Body lift
1.5" suspension lift with extended shackles and upgraded upper control arms
Bilstein 4600 shocks
Cregar SoftD 15x8 steel rims
Maxxis Buckshot II 32x11.5" tires
Shrockworks Transmission, Front Diff and Engine,Transmission Skid plate set
Custom DOM Tube and Square pipe slider/steps I made
Custom Front pipe and DOM tube bumper I made
Custom rear bumper with swingout spare tire carrier I made.
Some kid of affordable Harbor Freight 9000lb winch
Intake resonator delete and modification
Doug Thorley Exhaust headers.
Complete Cat system replacement with custom exhaust setup I pieced together
Flowmaster high flow cats
Gibson high flow exhaust (that sounds much cooler than factory)
Warn manual front hubs
Lokka front auto-locking differential (Aussies make it, use it on D22 Navaras)
Rear LSD with 125Ft/lb clutch pack (the 2002-2004 have 45lb..wah wah waaaah..)
Roof Rack basket I built to sit inside the factory roof rack main rails.
Overhead and rear LED off road lights.
I bought it to be a cheap but still fun to drive 4x4 that could get me across the sand at the beach to launch kayaks. Then it became a daily driver for a while, then a hobby and project car. It's been to Durango, Tennessee, Big Bend, and lots of other places to do a little off road driving.
I like Jeeps, and might get one some day, but right now, my project Xterra is plenty fun.
What else do you guys drive around off road that's "not a Jeep Wrangler".
