Should have never traded my 200. Things you don't know until after the fact.

I'm in the market for a 2020 or 2021. Let me know if someone has a bead on one that isn't already on the usual sites. Giving the 2013 to the kid.

That being said, nothing I've bought in the past 15-20 years compares to daily driving my 97 FZJ80.

I've been enjoying this thing for 32 years

Lives in Cotulla at this time but hope to bring it home to renovate at some point!

Love seeing these other pics of land cruisers!

I finally had a chance to snap some pics of the new addition.

I spent the last few weeks giving it some TLC. I fixed some curb rash on the wheels, addressed some suspension issues, tinted the windows, detailed it, replaced some missing items (2nd row middle head rest, cargo cover) and added a few small things to make the interior more useful for my family.

This thing is massive. It makes my leveled Tundra look small. That doesn't really come through in the pics.

Damn

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think those last few 200s are the best looking Land Cruiser ever.

Someone at my kids school has a maroon one with the bronze BBS wheels... Looks incredible

Funny. When I had a 200, most LC fans bemoaned its bulbous and inflated lines. Always saying the 80 was the last great looking LC. (Because it is).

I agree the 20-21s do look great but it's also revisionist history. We need a good 300 series now damn it!

Bruh - did you see the photos I posted. The 200's beautiful. Obviously I'm biased though.

I own a 200 and a couple of 80s. I've always felt like the 80 is the best looking generation. Over time, I've really started to appreciate the looks of the 60 and 70 series Cruisers which were probably my least favorite 10 years ago.

Yes…it's nice, but as I said, it's only nice because we miss it versus what Toyota gives us today, but if you owned a 200 when they were coming off the showroom floor, they were being dismissed as bloated and bulbous from the 70/80 guys. 100s are the lost generation…awesome but not timeless. They are having their moment now, and arguably more desirable than a 200.

When i traded my 200, I got $16K. Knowing what I know now, I would have kept it, even if it meant putting in in storage to make room for the other cars in the driveway. Like yours, they are more appreciated today then they were in 2007-2021. You did well!

Our LX570 is using a little coolant and at 225K miles I'm thinking that it's possibly the valley leak. I need to change the oil anyway so I'll for any coolant on the back of the engine.

What's a good shop in Houston & estimate for the price of repair?

My mechanic charged me $500 a few years ago for my Tundra, but another $500 to fix the evap pump flange that was damaged during the repair.

Dropped it off at Duggy's just now and saw this in the showroom. Good ideas for wife's anniversary later this year.

This is the most we've used the LX for off road....

Crap, $2,500 for the valley leak. Is that the going rate these days?!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple hitch mounted swing out spare tire older? I'm not wanting to drop 2500+ on a ARB or Dissent bumper setup.

This is for an '03 LC 100.

Unless you want the ability to take it off regularly, I'd say the best route to go for mounting a swing-out to OEM bumper is General Green Manufacturing. Theirs fits so much tighter to the body and look much slicker. And it's cheaper! But it requires some basic mods
