Coolant leak getting sorted still at my favorite shop.

Should get it back today...good news is the heater core was fine, the input/output nipples on the bulkhead were leaking.

Javier had a tool to reform the nipples (uuuhuhuhuh) and reclamped them, stopped leaking and held pressure.

Spring clamps that came with the kit were not cutting the mustard.

Initial thoughts...throttle response was sluggish and it kinda hesitated a little every so often.

More I drive it the better it gets, supposed to be about 50 drive cycles to relearn...I'm about 4-5 in.

I'll give this free tune some time then might have it re-tuned...it keeps getting stronger!

IT"S GETTING STRONGER!!!

Holy balls, they weren't kidding with the relearn! Getting a random IAC code that comes and goes...still leaning toward a custom tune.

Spent some time yesterday and cleaned up my engine bay a little...makes me feel better.

Going to detail it and spray the under-hood with rattle can bedliner so it doesn't look so hacked up lol.

Also resealed my winch...water got into the planetary, it's freshly greased and super tight now.

Update!

I've done two road trips in it...one to Rocksprings for an adventure race and another this past weekend to Krause Springs for a trail running festival.

Downshifting is no longer necessary...I can pass and get up to speed very quickly from 55mph+ in 6th gear, it's freaky. Cruise set on 80 from Comfort out past Kerrville...even in the hills loaded with all my stuff it never dropped below 78, just gives more BOOST and pulls.

And the noise, it's pretty addictive too.

I can't stop driving it like a pissed off teenager so my MPG has avg'd about 11

Welp...it survived MOAB, almost...trailered it up there and supercharger started using oil rabidly (reservoir was empty at the end of every day) so it got relegated to the trailer .










Sprintex sent me another unit via warranty and installed this past Saturday...this one is def stronger!



I have an entire slew of parts coming soon...including 37s, wheels, UD44 front and I scored a mislabeled Rock-Trac off LKQ for about 25% of what they're going for!

i'm doing the same spring height on this build. 35s to start and eventually 37s.

what driveshafts are you running?

Started as a budget 2.5...then went to 2.5 mid arm, then 3.5 mid arm with high fenders (X-factor).

Rides great, also switched out to Fox Shocks and Teraflex Speedbumps...it's vary nice aired down with the front sway disconnected.

I have a custom built front shaft and still running the stock rear...all is well, but the stock rear will probably be replaced next.

37s showed up yesterday...I got so excited I went ahead and mounted 2 of them at my buddy's shop

I'd say things are getting pretty serious...looks great with a set of 2nd hand ATX 199s I scored.
