I just completed a side project, and I was thinking about getting a protective coating applied to it. Any recommendations beyond the Line X/Rhino Lining setups? The project is basically a modified hand truck. I got a quote from Line-x but they wanted $300 to do the project which is well beyond what I was planning. All I wanted to do is to add some degree of protection from the weather and I feel powdercoating might be too prone to scratching.

Are there other options out there for protective coatings for small minor personal projects? Im in Houston if that helps.

Get some epoxy paint or better yet a two part epoxy. It's durable paint. Be sure to surface prep sufficiently.

Any experience with cans of bedliner and how they hold up? I see Rustoleum has one, but a few youtube videos doesnt show it holding up well.

I've had decent luck with the 2k kits.

But like always, prep is king.
