My garage is just over 19' in depth. I currently drive a 1999 F150 single cab with 250k miles. Of course it fits in the garage fine. I'm afraid that an upgrade to a crew cab even with the short bed isnt going to fit.

What do you folks think?

No full size crew will fit in a 19' garage.

Pretty sure the same applies to all full size extended cab with short bed (bed a little longer than a short crew). A ford raptor extended cab may be the exception.

So I must apologize, the first reply says I'm screwed. Then several other posts give other options. I've been driving my truck since 2002 so I have no idea what posts are serious or joking.

19' = 228' In Length.

2016 F150 Single Cab 6.5 Bed = 209.3"
2016 F150 Single Cab 8.0 Bed = 227.9"

2016 F150 Super Crew 5.5' Bed and Super Cab 6.5' Bed = 231.9" (19.325')

You could order a nice single cab short bed XLT with the 5.0L and have a nice little rocket of a truck.

Or.....modify the garage...

And he can hook you up with leather.

A Sport regular cab with the 5.0 & aftermarket leather would be neat too.

You're only screwed on full-size crew & extended cab pickups (F-150, Silverado, Sierra, Ram 1500, Titan, Tundra).

Full-size, short bed, single cabs are probably ok.

If you buy a mid-size, up to crew cab, short bed, you'll be ok (Tacoma, Colorado, Canyon, Frontier, Ridgeline).

If you buy silvy's 1984 S-10, it will fit in your garage, but it may never come out under its own power.

Can a mid size pull a horse trailer?

Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon can tow up to 7,000, Tacoma up to 6,500 and Ridgeline up to 5,000.

I'm in the same boat. I've got a 235" garage, and I'm looking to buy a double cab Tundra that is going to come in around 229". Assuming that there is the same or greater distance from the front bumper to the front tires, it should fit. Does anyone know of a good place to rent one for a few hours to ensure that it fits without going to a dealer. I'd rather spend money on it than waste time at a dealership or take a salesman to my house.

Welcome to the Auto Board. The correct answer to your question is F150 5.0 RCSB with a Whipple.

find one you like and do an overnight test drive. Not uncommon to do so nowadays.

The problem is that I've been working on availability with a dealer that is 30 miles or so from my house. I don't want to go all the way out there to pick up a truck to take home to see if it fits in my garage until a) I'm sure I can find what I want and b) GST decides to do better than a $500 rebate.

If you are looking at Toyotas, check with Aggiepaintrain's guy. They will make you a better deal than $500 off msrp. I am about to take delivery of a 2016 Tacoma from them in the next week or two and they made what I consider a great deal.

I can get at or near invoice. I just want a larger rebate.

So I was basing the 19' off of the documentation from when I bought the house. Pulled the tape measure out when I got home from work & it's actually closer to 19'7" (235") of usable real estate.

So the numbers above give me couple inches to spare...but only a couple inches. I see bumper into wall in my future.

That's what I'm working with as well. A double cab Tundra is supposed to be 229", so I'm hoping that I can make it work.

I have the same issue. I bought a Ford Supercrew and have about three inches to spare. I put a piece of plywood on the wall where the front bumper would meet it and padded the wood. I use the front camera when I pull in and ease up to the padding. Works great.

I've never owned anything other an Ford and Chevy. What are thoughts on Tundra as opposed to Ridgeline?
