These sort of things don't happen at Autonation Cheby

Leave negative reviews on every review website you can find. Threaten to talk to the BBB if they don't get this knocked out in 2-3 days. They take reviews very seriously. I had issues getting a hold of anyone at a dealership and about 20 minutes after I left bad reviews the general manager called me. He blew smoke up my ass but at least I had his attention.

This makes my transmission experience seem tame in comparison. Took them a week to even look at my obliterated transmission on my 3 month old F150.

Was your service advisor named Philip by any chance?

Sounds like my experiences at Mac haik, covert in hutto, Johnson bros in temple and automax in Killeen. Ford told me to screw off when I reached out for help. I've bought my last ford after owning 7.

All I can tell you is good luck, but they'll never fix it right. You're better off backing it into a line of new cars and driving off.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with them - that sucks.

FWIW, I have had my truck, and my wife's car repaired at the autonation ford Katy collision center on multiple occasions, and have never had any reason for major complaints. Things weren't always as fast as I would have liked, but never any major issues. Iv'e had much worse times dealing with insurance companies than the body shop.

Sorry to hear all that. Congrats on not punching anyone at this point!

The thread would be better with pics. And more specific names of the parties involved.

I chalk this up to another cautionary tale about why it's so important to do business with dealerships that have great reputations and ideally are individually/family owned and not a corporate chain.

This a great reply and all, but doesn't offer any help on what to do.

I'd start by leaving negative reviews on all social media and review websites. I'd then get a lawyer to draft up a letter to them.

Have you tried posting anything about it in a Ford forum? Ford Corporate has social media reps on the big ones who will contact district managers to help elevate the level of service. Don't know if that will help but it's worth a shot.

Ford has a customer service hotline. Call them and explain whats going on. Try and get a ford rep involved

Yes. F--- Autonation Ford. My experience was not one that left my vehicle with dimished value, but it was a similar level of incompetence. Never got my issue resolved. Just drug every service manager through the mud as best I could and left a poor review on whatever mail or phone survey I was asked to take.

I'd file a claim with my insurance company and have them put me in a rental car in the meantime. The insurance company will have a field day with AutoNation Ford.

And we should bump this thread every time some fool comes to the forum and tries to convince us that using AutoNation Ford is just as good or better than going with the 1Ags contact.

Sales does not equal service. Two completely different operations. His opinion might have changed but I do recall at some point in the past 1ags didn't exactly recommend TV for service needs.

Indy shops will destroy dealers at customer service and speed of service every time. They'd go out of business if they managed their companies like the big dealers do.

I stopped reading at Autonation.

Seriously they have THE WORST repairs department I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I had taken my 13 Heep in to have the fuel line replaced. It had developed a crack in one of the bends at about 7,500 miles. It took them 1 week to diagnose that there indeed was a leak (it was a very obvious one...leaked quite a bit) and then another month to find a fuel line and replace it. In fact the only reason it ever was repaired is that I finally gave in and called Chrysler. After putting in that call to Chrysler and explaining what had been going on they magically had the part and it was repaired two days later.

No we are sorry. No here is a free carwash or oil change because we took a ridiculously long time replacing a part. No we are sorry that we refused to let you have a loaner vehicle or compensate you in any way for a rental car. Just a grumble from the service department as I left. They were upset that I had gotten Chrysler involved. Ever since then any time I have had any sort of work done they have been royal *******s.

Hell they tried telling me that the reason my factory radio had a button that stopped working was due to "extensive water damage from leaving the top off". There was no water damage to be found anywhere. I inspected it myself and even had another dealer nearby inspect for any sort of damage. Of course none was found.

Autonation Spring sucks

Well duh. I never said that sales and service were related. My point was that this thread is good evidence that AutoNation sucks in general.

it's a good example that their service sucks. it says nothing of their sales.

Not at all. You are still operating under the incorrect assumption that I believe sales and service are related. My assumption is that AutoNation sucks in general.

The only logical explanation for your responses is that you bought a vehicle from AutoNation. Am I correct?

And the dealer lobby continues to use service departments as the reason for not allowing direct Tesla sales in Texas. Laughable.

My friends think I am crazy for changing my own oil and rotating my own tires. No one cares about your **** except for you.

That truly sucks OP. Hope you can find a good resolution.

Indeed. Their service department did piss me off, but I dont think Autonation Katy's service department is earning any gold stars either.

Its sad to hear this about autonation katy, as I have many friends that work there, and I used to buy all my cars there before AN took over. My buddy who is one of the upper mgmt there just left there for another dealer because of the frustrations that he has there.

I'd call and ask to talk to the GM of the dealer and politely express your frustrations.

Go to the next level and ask for their Fixed Ops Director (Customer Care) and explain the problem to him.
