I need a new transmission for my FJ62. I'm in Dallas. Anyone have any advice?

be sure it's rebuilt and not just used, they are prone to failure at 200k miles

Toyota of Dallas actually had a 5 speed they had ordered in special from Japan for a 60 series they had posted for sale a few weeks back. They had bought it like 5 years ago and the customer backed out and they have had it ever since. Call up Barb in their parts department and see if she can help?

Other than that there is an s ton of places above to get one or you can switch to a GM transmission.

That's the single worst part of an FJ62. Spend the extra $ and get a 5 speed.

Someone recommended that I buy a new Transtar transmission. Does anyone have any experience with these?
